Honey Sensory Workshop

A beekeeper understands their landscape just as intimately as a French winemaker knows their terroir. In this workshop that we will hold in English, we invite you to join us to learn how to describe the taste of honey, and why honey tastes so different. In this journey, we not only learn to appreciate the local flora that is reflected in honey, but also establish profound connections between pollinators and the plants that surround us.

Join ByBi for an enlightening 2-hour exploration into the complex world of honey. Ragna Ribe Jørgensen and Idil Akdos will be your guides on this immersive journey. This workshop will be held in English!

During this experience, participants will dive into tastings and dynamic discussions that will help you comprehend the remarkable variety and intricate flavors of honey. Whether you’re a curious novice or a honey enthusiast, this workshop is a valuable opportunity to sharpen your skills in sensing and describing honey.

We will be tasting 3-4 unique mystery honeys from Norway and abroad (in order not to intervene with your impression, we are only going to announce the honeys after we’ve tasted and described them).

We will be using honey sensory analysis checklists, and honey vocabulary wheel to link our impressions with words.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity—register below to be part of this enriching workshop!
