Andelsbirøkterlag
Discover beekeeping with Local Buzz at Stensparken 🐝
Local Buzz bridges this gap by offering you the chance to become a co-beekeeper of our community hives. With a simple membership, we guide you every step of the way, making it easy to care for bees, harvest honey, and connect with nature. Join us and be part of a sustainable, buzzing community!
Local Buzz Andelsbirøkterlag moved to Stensparken in Oslo!
What does it mean to be member at Local Buzz?
Local Buzz functions through a membership-based model where anyone, regardless of honey bee knowledge or experience, can own a share of our community hives.
The membership fee is paid in advance to become a shareholder of a Local Buzz hive. Throughout the season, honey is harvested and shared equally among members.
On average, ByBi’s hives in Oslo produce around 30-40 kg of honey per year, so one share gives you app. >3 kg, enough for two people’s yearly honey needs! This means you get local, unprocessed and real honey straight from the bees.
Our 3 community hives are cared for by Idil, ByBi’s faglig leder and the main responsibility for the wellbeing of the hive lies with her. This means you get hands-on involvement without any worries.
Through your hands-on membership, you are entitled 5 times in the season to visit the bees who produce this golden delicacy for you! Suits and gloves are provided so you just need to bring a curious mind.
Hands-on membership (23-25 spots): 3750 kr

- There are 32 shares.
- A LOT of learning moments. Once we open the hive, countless inspiring and fascinating moments of learning will emerge. However, this isn’t a formal educational program, but rather an apprenticeship, so what we learn depends on what happens at the hives at that moment!

- Clean, local, unprocessed and hard-earned raw honey + precious Norwegian wax + numerous bee facts up your sleeve
- Hot summer afternoons in the beekeeping suit
